Heads up, this is a take out jawn. But when I tell you: BEST DANG FOOD, best believe I will go outta my way to stop here for that pepper steak, jerk chicken, fall off the bone delicious incredible soul food!! Mac n chee an yams, cabbage w carrots, call in advance for fish dishes!! And dang good oxtails and Jamaican patties!! Cant go wrong, this spot hits!!

Omg I’m amazed by the fish here !! It’s the best fish I’ve ever tasted and in the WHOLE city I swear by this place !! They have the most nice and caring customer service THANK YOU !! I HAD TO COME EDIT MY REVIEW!! WOULDN’T LET ME PLACE AN ORDER OVER THE PHONE, SWORE THE PRICES WERE HIGHER THAN WHAT I PAID B4 numerous times over 10x !! WAS rude n all I told them I wrote a review that was really good but now I’m gonna change it !! SLICKSTERS!! VERY SLICK PPL

jerk chicken had a lil heat to it, put a lil pep in my step yk what im sayin? my bestie is a notoriously picky eater but she sucked down her oxtails n asked for more also love: pepper steak, rice n beans, baked mac, cabbage who needs a trip to the Caribbean when Maxwells is still open n serving (jk someone send me on a trip to the Caribbean pls)

Hands down this is the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had in Philadelphia. The customer service is outstanding. The food is even better. The jerk chicken wings are to die for the portions are very large and generous. The food is seasoned. The atmosphere is clean however it’s not in the best neighborhood, but please do not let that discourage you. I repeat please do not let that discourage you. also, the homemade juices are outstanding very refreshing.

I’ve been going to maxwells for about a year now , I loveeee it . The food is always good , Mac and cheese is tasty & lemme put y’all on to jerk shrimp, y’all will love it ! Especially if you like spicy foods ! Sometimes , though I feel like they food goes sour fast, but lemme tell y’all they food is good, collards was hitting lol

Good food, Good portions, they take debit cards which is great because who wants to carry cash in Philadelphia. Also the cooks and employees aren't rude. Go check them out! I left a picture of the current menu with Prices.
